We aim to publish leading edge content across the rapidly evolving fields of librarianship, information science, scholarly communication, cultural heritage, archives and records management and the digital humanities.
We are committed to disseminating good research and practice and to working in the interests of the information professions.
We are looking for a mixture of content: practice oriented books for working professionals, textbooks that particularly dovetail with the iSchools curriculum and emerging developments and thinking in academic research for a scholarly audience.
We pay particular attention to nurturing and supporting our authors and are proud that many authors return to us as their preferred publisher. We are happy to work with novice researchers and writers as well as more acclaimed and experiences ones.
We strive to maximise the impact of what we publish and the recognition of the authors who publish with us and of their institutions.
If you have a book or series idea, please consult our book proposal guidelines and get in touch with our Commissioning Editor. You can find out more about our publishing philosophy and ethos in About us.
We will help you to work up your proposal so that it's ideally suited to your intended audience, get it reviewed by your peers and will listen carefully to your ideas about how your work should be published and made visible in a dynamic and evolving global publishing and information environment.
